The Summerage

it was built as a place apart and a place for removal of oneself 

to take time to reconfigure 

deep in the barren burren no light pollution just expansive sunsets and sunrises 

the space itself is of the place 

it almost doesn't impose on the surrounds just lets you exist within it with a gentle nod to other places and times 

but having your firmly there 

simplicity is everywhere 

it feels very light and free largely open plan 

it is almost one space 

you feel and see the fire and the candles from most angles 

the art is hung so you can take in the structure of the space 

your eye is drawn but your mind is rested 

it’s an old house made new 

a barren scape made timeless 

and it’s a home not a house 

that pares it all back and gives you more than you can imagine
